Question:
Trying to decide whether to buy the etrailer or the Curt class three hitch for my new 2018 Odyssey. It has have the power lift, but not the hands free option. My specific question is, based on the design of each of the above brands, how do they compare visually and with regard to the specific position of the hitch throat? Thanks for your help.

The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98855 and the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13370 referenced in your question are very similar Class III hitches and both are confirmed to fit your 2018 Honda Odyssey. Both of these hitches will mount at the same location on the vehicle frame so will look very similar in terms of appearance when installed. They will rest directly beneath the rear bumper and provide a sleek, unassuming design. The only difference in terms of how they will look on your Honda Odyssey is the etrailer # e98855 has a matte black finish and the Curt # C13370 has a glossy black finish. Otherwise, the etrailer hitch has a little lower price, so I would definitely go with it.
You will just want to check your owner's manual for the vehicle's capacity, as you will need to follow whichever limit is lower.
All of the necessary hardware will be included, and I have attached the installation details that you can check out.
