Provided that you will have the necessary crossbar space and weight capacity on the roof of your 2017 Subaru Crosstrek, you can transport your 4 kayaks on the roof. I do recommend checking the weight capacity of your vehicle's roof as listed in the owner's manual to ensure that you remain under its limit.

If you already have a factory or aftermarket roof rack installed, I recommend looking at the Thule The Stacker # TH830. This carrier has the ability to secure up to 4 kayaks side by side using a vehicle's roof rack. It uses universal hardware that will clamp to the roof rack crossbars and includes 1 pair of ratcheting tie-downs, 2 straps and buckle protectors. To secure 4 kayaks, you will need additional tie-downs with # 753-2030-02 and # 853-5466.

If you do not yet have a roof rack on your Subaru and it has factory raised side rails that run front to back, I recommend the Thule WingBar Evo Roof Rack. This system consists of # TH711420 for the two 53 inch WingBar Load Bars in Black or # TH711400 for Silver and # TH710401 for the Foot Pack.

If your vehicle has a naked roof (no existing rails or crossbars), then I recommend The Thule Roof Rack consisting of # TH711200, # TH460R and # THKIT3068.
