Question:
Hi, Ive purchase a jon boat and need to keep it tied to a tree on our lake.. Looking for a hand crank winch that can be attached to a tree which would handle about 1000lbs max and at least a 50ft, if not 70ft rust proof cable. Do you have a product that might have all of this together where I could just attach it to the tree with straps or screw into a wood post? Thanks!

The Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch # DL14627 rated for 1,800 lbs is a great solution for you.
It is a hand winch that has the weight capacity you need and can hold up to 9/32 inch x 58 foot cable. For Hand Winch Cable use part # DL24045 which is 7/32 inches x 50 foot and is rated for 2,500 lbs. The cable also has a galvanized coating which will help it to resist rust or corrosion caused by water.
You will need to supply the hardware, but you can install this on a tree with straps (as long as the straps can withstand the weight capacity) or a wood post.
