i have a single axle trailer that weights 3200 lbs can i use a 1400 max weight tire on it?

Expert Reply:
You would need a tire with more weight capacity. Basically you need to take the total weight of the trailer when loaded and ready to tow and divide that number by the amount of tires the trailer has and that's the minimum tire weight capacity required to be safe.
For a 3,200 lb trailer with a single axle you would need tire capacity of 1,600 lbs at least. I am not sure what tire size you need, but if you check out the attached link you can see all the tires we offer. You would want to select the tire size you need first and then check the capacity of all the ones listed and pick accordingly.
