Question:
I have a Jeep Liberty with a spare tire mounted on the rear door. Problem is I dont have enough clearance below the spare tire to fit my trailer tongue onto the ball. Is there a hitch long enough to allow the ball to extend past the tire? It would have to be at least 15inch from the retaining hole and the end of the hitch.

I have a great solution for you.
To bridge the necessary gap in order to clear your Jeep's spare tire, I recommend using the Brophy Ball Mount # BM20. This is designed specifically for situations such as yours and has a length of 13-1/4 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole. I have attached a video demonstration of this ball mount for you to check out.
If you do not already have a trailer hitch installed on your 2004 Jeep Liberty, I recommend the Curt Class III Receiver Hitch # 13044. This will give you a 2 inch hitch opening with a 500 pound tongue weight and 5,000 pound towing weight capacity. I have included an installation video for you to review.
For a wiring harness to power your trailer's signal lights, I recommend the Curt # C55382. This T-Connector will plug right into the connection points behind your Jeep's tail lights and provide a 4-way trailer connector.
