On the Wheel Rim Clamp for Mobile Home Style Hubs, # 15-2, the portion with the lip goes toward the inside of the hub and opposite the nut. The angled side goes to the outside of the wheel so as you tighten the nut it pushes against the lip on the inside putting pressure to the angled section on the outside to hold your wheel tight.

Your answer is even more confusing. The clamp is marked "hub" on one beveled edge and " wheel" on the other. Which edge goes on the trailer hub and which on what I call wheel, rim with th tire?
