Installing New Trailer Light with 2 Wires in Place of Trailer Light with 1 Wire

Question:
the new LED tail is good looking, as tail lights go. my problem is the new light has two wires, a black and white. the old only had a black attached. where would the white wire go? there are brown, black w/ yellow strip, black and red wires in the wiring channel.

Your old light must be a model that grounds through the mounting hardware. The new light has a separate ground wire. The white wire is the ground and it will attach to a clean metal surface. The black wire is the power wire.
