Superchips estimates that the Flashpaq # SU1845 (or # SU4845 for the California approved model) will provide up to 20 additional horse power and 28 feet pounds of torque at most on a 2003 Ford Explorer with a 4.0 liter motor.
That might not seem like much but you will be able to tell the difference. Gas motors can get small power gains like this but nothing like what diesel motors can get. But programmers are still useful on gas motors because they can help it run more efficiently.
