How to Find the Stop Light Switch to Install a Brake Controller on a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500

07 dodge Ram 1500 install. where the hell is the cold side of the brake pedal? any video on the install? thanks,

The cold side of the brake switch is the part of the brake switch, located above the brake pedal, that does not have constant power going to/from it. When installing a brake controller like the Tekonsha PRIMUS IQ Electronic Brake Controller, # TK90160, you will need to attach the red wire on the brake controller to the wire on the cold side of the brake switch that carries a signal ONLY when the brake pedal is pressed.
It is possible that this wire is blue with white tracer but manufactures have the tendency to change wire colors from time to time. To be certain, use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to find the wire that carries a signal only when the brake pedal is pressed. I would start with the blue wire with white tracer.
