Bike Rack and Mounting Options and Recommendations for a 1989 Winnebago Lesharo

Question:

I HAVE A 1989 WINNEBAGO LESHARO, MUCH LIKE THE WINNEBAGO RIALTA. I AM TRYINDG TO DETERMINE IF I CAN MOUNT A CARRIER FOR A LIGHT WEIGHT ELECTIC BICYCLE. EITHER ON THE FRONT OR REAR BUMPER. THNANKS

The bumper mount racks, like the RV Bumper 2 Bike Rack, # S80605, require a 4 to 4-1/2 inch square, welded steel bumper. If your Winnebago does not have this size and type of bumper, the best solution is to add a trailer hitch and hitch mount rack. If it does have this style bumper, make sure you check the owners manual for the capacity of the bumper to be sure it can support a rack and bike.

If you need to use a trailer hitch, I recommend a frame mount hitch for more stability and weight capacity. I have included a link below to the available frame mount RV hitches.

You would then need a hitch mount bike rack that is compatible with use behind a trailer or motor home, and has enough capacity for the weight of your electric bike.
