What do the Class Ratings Mean on the Transmission Cooler Pages
Question:
What do the class ratings mean to me when choosing a transmission oil cooler. Also when I did a search for my Nissan Titan 4 wheel crew cab, short bed, equipped with a factory tow package, etrailer did not recommend a stack cooler? Can I install a stack and what would be the best for me.

You can install a stack cooler in your vehicle. The Class ratings are there as a reference point to a hitch Class. For example if someone has a Class III hitch they can look at coolers, see a Class III and say, hey, I have a Class III hitch so this Class III cooler will be good for me. We tried to just make the choosing process easier by assigning a Class.
Transmission coolers are not actually vehicle specific so you can use any one that will fit in the space you have available, included stack cooler # D51606. this cooler measures 13 inches across, 6-7/16 inches tall, and 2 inches deep. I have included some links to our FAQs on transmission coolers for you.
