Troubleshooting a Curt Discovery part # C84VV Not Working on a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500
Question:
The digital read out does not work when brakes are applied. I have a 2002 silverado 1500 and I bought the adapter specific for my vehicle. I have had it checked by a mechanic and he said the controller is faulty.

On certain model year Chevy and GMC trucks and SUVs there are some connections that need to be made under the hood to make everything fully functional. It happens on vehicles with or without the factory tow package. I checked your order notes and you also bought the Curt Wiring adapter part # C51342.
To see what under the hood connections need to be made check out the link I provided to the right that details everything you would need to install a controller like the Curt Discovery part # C84VV on your vehicle.
