How Does Prodigy P2 Brake Controller Install on 2022 Ford F-53 Motorhome Chassis
Question:
Im upgrading my class A motorhome from a 2012 on the Ford F53 chassis with factory tow package to a 2023 class A on the newer Ford F53 chassis with factory tow package. Question: Will my old prodigy p2 trailer brake control harness work on the newer chassis? The harness has # 16262 and a bar code # 6505357973. Im towing an enclosed 2 axle car trailer. I havent picked up the new RV so I havent been able to get under the dash yet. Thanks, Jim

Hey Jim, so there is a brake controller plug in harness on your 2022 Ford F-53 motorhome that you can use to install the P2 part # 90885 that you have but we don't have a plug-in style adapter for it. So what you'll have to do is cut off the harness on the motorhome as well as the connector on the brake controller harness and hardwire the two together.

Ok thanks for the info. I really don't want to do a lot of cutting and splicing under the dash. I think I need to update the brake controller to something that can just plug into the F53 wiring harness connector. What would you recommend for towing my 2 axle car trailer? Thanks again for your help, Jim
