Recommended Flat Towing Components For A 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4XE

Question:

Hello, I just bought a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4Xe and am looking to flat tow it. In looking at Tow plates I really like the invisible etrailer base plate! You hardly see it when not in tow mode. Can you recommend a good complete set up for me? I like the Blue Ox line, and I heard good things about the demco brake system. I have a Gasser Motor home. Thanks and looking forward to what you think will work best with a Hybrid.

For a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4XE I have the following flat towing component recommendations:

Baseplate: The etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit # e98948 you referenced would be a great option as long as you still have the factory plastic bumper. If you've swapped it out with an aftermarket option we'd have to verify with the manufacturer to ensure compatibility.

Tow Bar: The etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e34ZR would be the perfect tow bar to go along with the baseplate. It has safety cables bracketed to the arms to prevent them from dragging on the ground. The head and shank offer a bit of adjustability to help keep the tow bar level as well.

Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This diode kit will splice into your tail light wiring to properly display your motorhome's traffic signals through the tail lights of your Wrangler. If you have ParkSense Proximity Sensors then you'll need the Roadmaster Smart Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Wiring Kit for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights # RM63MR instead.

Braking System: If your motorhome has hydraulic brakes then you'll want to use the Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251, and if your motorhome has air brakes then you'll want the Demco Air Force One Supplemental Braking System # SM99243. Both of these systems will install down under the dash and in the engine compartment to minimize usable space being taken up. After the initial installation these systems require no further setup so you'll have one less thing to check off the list when getting ready to tow.

These systems do have to tap into your brake light switch wire, which unfortunately isn't useable so you'll also need the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM23MR in order to get the brake switch signal for the indicator lights of these systems.
