Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen, here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a look at the placement led bulbs. These are going to be for your fog lights. They're the H10 or the H one 0 style bulb. These are a nice improvement over your typical OEM bulb or even your halogens. They're going to be a brighter light and be a more efficient as well.

So let's take a closer look at them and be sure that they're going to be a fit for you.So this is a plug and play application. Again, this is for the H10 style bulb. Now some vehicles may require an anti flicker harness to work with these. If your vehicle is canvas or PWM equipped, you will need that harness. It is sold separately, or you can get it as a kit with those part numbers that you see on the screen there.

So either way you want to do it, if you're not sure if you need the harness, you want to wait until later, get it installed and then buy it separately, you can. Or if you want to get it just all in a kit right now, that's totally fine too. The easiest way to figure out if it is going to fit for your vehicle is to use our fit guide here at etrailer.com, if you haven't already done so. And it should tell you if you need that anti flicker harness or not.But as far as the lights, they are going to be a nice, bright light. I'll hook these up to power, so you can actually see that for yourself.

It is going to be polarity sensitive. So you want to be sure whenever you're hooking this into your factory wiring, that you pay attention to the little plus and minus on the bottom. You're not going to have to use alligator clamps, like I am. I'm just using these, because that's what I've got in my studio. But your plugs should have an indicator on which is which, for that power and ground or that positive and negative side.

So am going to go ahead and turn these on, turn this light on. You can see nice bright light. Turn that on the studio.And the nice thing about this housing is that it is precisely designed to only specifically throw that light. So as you can see, now that I've sort of pointed it towards you, that light isn't quite so bright as when it's up like this. So that helps to protect other drivers from getting blinded by your lights. And it makes that light a bit more precise in where it goes. And also it's a nice, cool white, that helps promote better visibility at night. Our eyes kind of see that cooler band of light better than the warmer lights you might see out there. So it should help to promote that visibility. I'm going to turn this off and we can talk about some more specs.So this is IP67 rated, which means it's going to be pretty much impervious to dust and weatherproof. We shouldn't have any issues with that. It's also shock resistance. So should be a rugged light for all kinds of use. It is rated for city driving. So no worries about blinding other people. You can also, again, use it for your fog lights. It does have a raw lumen output of 3000 lumens per bulb. The effective lumen output is 1,995, or just under 2000 lumens. That's really the number to pay more attention to, since that's more the real world usage or the real world output for the lights. After about 30 minutes though, that does drop down to the stable lumens of 1,550. Still a nice bright light, definitely going to eliminate the night for us.The color temperature is going to be 6,500 Kelvin, which was that cool white that you saw. The wattage per bulb is 16.5 Watts. Power draw at 13 volts is 1.3 amps per bulb. And the operating voltage is between 7.5 volts and 16 volts. Comes with a two year limited warranty. You do get some instructions or manual here, and then also a sticker. That's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the H10 led fog light bulbs.
