Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the PTC custom fit oil filter.This is going to fit a lot of different vehicles out there. The easiest way to make sure that it's a fit for your particular vehicle is to use our fit guide here at etrailer.com.Put in your particular year, make, and model of your vehicle. That will let you know if this is going to be a fit for you.That's probably how you got here, but I just want to make sure that you're going through that fit guide to make sure that this is a fit. It's pretty simple system. It's just here to replace our existing engine oil filter.It's there to help keep any kind of harmful particular matter from getting into our engine.That oil is what lubricates everything and keeps it working smoothly.
So we want to make sure that there's no dunk to get in there and go up the works.This is rated for protection up to 10,000 miles, but you want to make sure that you go off of your owner's manual and change out the oil filter as often as they suggest.So you do want to check that oil or check your owner's manual to make sure that you follow their stipulations.This is designed for use with synthetic oil.It does have a nice silicone anti drain back valve.So that's going to help protect any kind of drainage from whenever you start up.That's kind of the most pressurized moment of the system.The canister is made out of a heavy gauge steel, so it helps protect it from any kind of deformation or damage while it's being installed.So it should be able to get through that without any kind of issues.Even if you're using a wrench on this guy, it does have a self-contained spin on design.So you can see there, the threads in there makes it pretty easy to get this installed.It's also rated for temperature conditions between negative 40 degrees Fahrenheit up to more than 300 degrees Fahrenheit.So can just stand in a lot of extreme conditions.That's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the PTC custom fit, synthetic oil filter.I hope this video has been helpful again, I'm Ellen here AT etrailer.com.Thanks for watching.

I cannot give a review on the filter as it is NOT the right one cor my car. The site stated it was, it might fit, but none of the numbers match and it is a lot shorter.

Sure thing, the engi e is a 3.6l and the manufacture date is 414. Hope this helps.

Yes, I just wanted to verify your engine size and also the manufacturer date. Sometimes if manufacturer date is late in the year, it could mean vehicle has 2015 elements built in that may have made the filer not a fit. However, yours should be all 2014 so I have reached out to the manufacturer. I hope to hear back from them soon.

I did hear back from the manufacturer and it was suggested to have you use part # 351P2500 instead. I have relayed this information to the customer service department and they will be in touch with you.
It’s a nice solid oil filter. I have a 2022 Subaru Ascent.With supply problems,Subaru has change the oil filters to a crappy cheap oil filter that may not have the fine qualities that the original Japanese oil filter has.
Didn’t fit my 2005 chevy Silverado
The filter looks fine and the price was right.
Exterior finish seems good but who knows what the internal quality is. It's made in China so I'm afraid it's "[low]" quality. No idea how filter media or internal check valve is. Hard to really tell how good oil filters are. There's no API rating, performance indication, and oil filtration is so important for an engine. Bought 2 of these for $[xx] to save $[xx] in shipping on larger order. Probably would have just paid shipping if I knew they were Chinese.

Although they are advertised as compatible with either conventional or synthetic oil, they appear to be lower quality than the K&N filters I have been using. Whereas I drive at least 5 or 6 thousand miles between oil changes I haven't decided whether I will use them.

Worked to replace original perfectly. Filter media seemed to be as robust as stock filter as well--we'll see in 500,000 miles or so...

You mentioned that it was not a fit and I have a few questions to ask. What size engine does your Traverse have? On the door sticker there is a manufacturing date of the vehicle. What is the date?
