If you're looking for the best tie-downs for your camper, frame-mounted is the way to go. The frame is the most solid part of your entire vehicle, so it just makes sense to attach your camper to something that's not going to warp, bend, or twist. Even more importantly, the camper's center of gravity will sit lower and its weight will be spread across the entire bed. This avoids a top-heavy load perched on top of your bed rails that's liable to sway and get pushed around by crosswinds. The camper's not going to shift or slide around while you drive; it's going to stay put, and your truck is going to handle just like it does without a camper.
Quick Tip: If you have a plastic or spray-in bed liner, it's important that you use a rubber mat under the camper to eliminate any sliding or bouncing.
Frame-mounted tie-downs are also a great pick for preserving your truck's good looks. The brackets install on the frame, tucked nearly flush with the underside of the vehicle. Remove the arms from the brackets when you're not hauling your camper, and the brackets will be barely visible.
Completely custom to your vehicle, the tie-downs attach to exisiting holes in your frame so that there's little to no drilling and no need for any modifications. Because they're custom, you'll want to use our in-house application guide to make sure you get the exact right model. The tie-downs you need might be different depending on what type of hitch or other accessories you have.
Once the tie-downs are installed, use a set of turnbuckles (sold separately) to secure the camper to the tie-downs. The shank on each arm has 2 pin holes so you can choose how far out they extend, that way the turnbuckles can reach the anchors on your camper without making contact with your truck. Tighten the turnbuckles to the correct level of tension (not too tight!).
Make sure the anchor points are offset from the tie-downs instead of lined up with them so that they will hold your camper from multiple angles. This is important for keeping your camper from shifting. Two holes in the attachment plate of the tie-downs let you find the best angle for you camper anchors.

Very durable and good looking product. It is a great investment for someone like me who carry heavy camper on the bed of my pick-up truck. Would highly recommend it.
This product is made to fit several versions the Ford F250- mine is a 2002 model. This attached to the factory installed hitch just as it said it would. The only derivation came when I went to attach the bracket which locks over the bolt and existing crossbar. The angle of the bolt did not match the angle of the fitting, so it does not quite fit as snug as I would like. Nonetheless, it holds well so far, being that the acorn nut tightens down and locks things in place. I hauled a 1 ton slide-in camper 60 miles without any hassle. This product does what Etrailer said it would, and along with its counterparts in the front of my truck box, - also an etrailer purchase- I have no worries about summer camping season! I am a satisfied customer.

The Torklift True Frame Mounted Camper Tie Downs I purchased for my 2004 F350 with single rear wheels seem to be constructed out of sufficient steel gauge and grade of steel to adequately hold a camper in the truck bed. This method of securing a camper to the bed of the pick up is probably the most secure method available because it does not rely on the strength and integrity of the bed walls. My experience with this Ford is that the pickup bed is not designed for certain weight bearing applications and such as supporting heavy overhead racks on rough roads. They are also probably not designed to handle the forces that may occur on rough roads, during an emergency maneuver, or during even a minor collision with a bed mount system. The same is probably true for Dodge and Chevy.
Perfect fit on 2001 F350 crew cab with factory tow hitch. Super easy to install and work perfectly. Got front mounts to and also work perfectly. Definitely worth the money. Thanks TorkLift and Etrailer for another great bolt on product!!!

Driver's side front tie-down was tough to install, my '99 Ford Super Duty wouldn't allow the placement of the 1" backer plate on the inside of the frame due to other OEM things installed in that channel of the frame area. I was able to get the bolt and star washer in. Other than that the whole system was straight forward and good quality!
Installation took less than 10 minutes and were ready for use.
Tayler was very helpful with finding the right part and filling my order. shipping was fast, the parts are well made and installation was easy. over all it was a great shopping experience..

TLF3001 fit my 1999 F250 SD with frame mount receiver hitch. Solid built with steel. Best way to secure your camper to the frame.
all questions i asked were answered very well.the camper torklift tie downs were all as described and no holes had to be drilled,easy to install. very helpful staff.

Products came before promised and etrailer matched lower price I could have gotten [online] for the same products.
I've ordered thru e-trailer several times and the customer service has always been excellent. I will continue using e-trailer in the future as I know they won't disappoint me.
Exactly what we wanted. Installation was pretty easy for me, a 70's year old, and my wife provided her skillful assistance. We got about eight thousand miles on our damper last year.
The product arrived a day earlier than predicted and with all the necessary hardware. The install took less than 15 minutes and the parts fit right as they were suppose to. Great product and great service will be ordering the front ones soon.
The help I got to get the right item was outstanding. Will update when I install.
