Today on our 2013 Hyundai Sonata we're doing a test fit of the Thule Passage 2 Trunk Mount Bike Rack. That part number is TH910XT. We already have this attached to our vehicle. We're going to start by showing you how we secure our bike down. We have two cradles in place with three straps, two on our frame and one as our anti-sway strap. We'll start by releasing those and we'll save our anti-sway for last.



Thule Archway Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2013 Hyundai Sonata

Today on our 2013 Hyundai Sonata, we're doing a test fit of the Thule Archway XT Trunk Mount 2 Bike Rack. That part number is TH9009XT. We already have our bike secured down, we're first going to show you how we do that. So we have 2 cradles in place with 3 straps, 2 on our frame and 1 as our anti-sway strap in the back. We're going to start by pulling down and releasing these, and we can pull our bike off and set it off to the side. With that out of the way I always suggest that you replace your straps so you don't lose or damage them. And now we'll take a few measurements. First it's going to be overall what we're adding to our vehicle with our arms hanging out.

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2013 Hyundai Sonata

Today, on our 2013 Hyundai Sonata, we're doing a test fit of the Swagman XC platform-style 2-bike rack. That part number is S64650. We already have our bikes secured down. We're first going to show you how we do that. To hold our bike in place, we have our frame hook, which is going to hold our bike down into our wheel cradles. Now, I know for a fact that you won't have any problems with your wheels coming loose or anything without those straps that you would usually see on your platform-style.



Thule Domestique Roof Bike Rack Review - 2013 Hyundai Sonata

Today on our 2013 Hyundai Sonata we'll be test fitting the Thule Domestique Roof Mounted Bike Carrier, part number th513. To mount our Domestique to our Sonata we'll place the carrier on the vehicle and bring the front clamp around the front load bar. We'll start tightening down the front clamp with the included Allen key and then move to the rear clamp. Swing the bracket around the rear bar and tighten it down with the Allen key.We'll move back and forth tightening each end down adjusting the placement as needed. Once our Domestique is secured we can get ready to load our bike. We'll need to put the skewer into the front of the bike rack and loosely tighten it.



Swagman Fork Down Roof Bike Rack Review - 2013 Hyundai Sonata

Today, on this 2013 Hyundai Sonata, we'll be test-fitting the fork-down, roof-mounted Bike Carrier from Swagman, part number S64710. We already have our carrier assembled to the instructions so we're ready to mount it up onto our Sonata. To mount the carrier, we'll place it on top of the front load bar. We'll fit the U Bolts around the load bar and back through the head of the platform and then tighten it down with the wing nuts.With the front half of our fork down carrier secured, we can move to the rear. We'll position the U bolt in the rear of the carrier over our rear bar and secure it using the clamp bracket and the two-wing nuts. Once weve done that, we're almost ready to load our bike.



RockyMounts TieRod Roof Bike Rack Review - 2013 Hyundai Sonata

Today on our 2013 Hyundai Sonata we'll be test fitting the TieRod Roof Mounted Bike Carrier from RockyMounts, product number rky1014. To install our TieRod we'll remove the top cover and place it on our Sonata's roof rack and run the rubber straps at the front of the carrier under the front bar. We'll fit the ends of those straps and the head of the TieRod and then swing the rear clamp around our rear bar.With the carrier loosely installed you can adjust the placement until it is in the spot you desire. Once you have your placement we'll use the included Allen wrench to tighten the bolts and the head of the TieRod securing the front of the carrier to our Sonata. Once that is secure we can move to the back and use the wing nuts to tighten down the back of the carrier.That's all it takes to install our TieRod and now we're about ready to load our bike. We'll replace the top cover at the head of the TieRod and make sure that the skewer is loose and open.



Yakima FrontLoader Roof Bike Rack Review - 2013 Hyundai Sonata

Today on our 2013 Hyundai Sonata we'll be test fitting the Yakima FrontLoader Wheel Mount Bike Carrier, part number y02103. To begin our test fit we'll go ahead and place the bike rack onto the crossbars and we'll make sure that the front clamp here at the head of the bike rack goes around our front crossbar. We'll then move to the rear clamp where we'll make sure that the clamp runs underneath the rear crossbar adjusting it as necessary.We can then take the T-bolt, pass it through the clamp, twist it a quick 90 degrees and tighten down the wing nut securing the rear clamp to the rear crossbar. We'll move back to the head of the bike rack where we'll tighten down the wing nut here on the front clamping the front head to our front crossbar thereby securing our bike rack to the vehicle.We'll now go ahead and fold the front wheel hoop up and undo the strap for our rear wheel. We'll then place the bike into the carrier making sure that the front wheel rolls forward into the front wheel hoop. We'll also want to make sure that the rear front wheel hoop rolls up onto the wheel.



Thule Vertex 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Hyundai Sonata

Today on our 2013 Hyundai Sonata we'll be test fitting the Thule Vertex Four Bike Carrier, part number th9029. Now with our two inch adapter already removed from our carrier, we'll slide the shank into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes, thread our anti-rattle bolt through the pin holes and tighten with a wrench.Now with our Thule Vertex secured to our Hyundai Sonata we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how they fit together. There's about 11 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about four inches. With the cradle arms folded down we've added about 12 inches to the overall length of the vehicle.We'll now pull the gray lever at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out and we'll measure from the vehicle's trunk to the end of the carrier's cradle arms and we'll get a measurement of 41 inches. Now with this bike carrier and this vehicle you can access the trunk with the mast in its upright position or we can pull the handle at the bottom of the carrier to tilt the mast down.To load the bike we'll make sure that the mast is in its upright position, we'll undo the cradle straps, set the bike into the frame cradles and secure with the straps.



Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Hyundai Sonata

Today on our 2013 Hyundai Sonata, we'll be test fitting the Thule Hitching Post Pro, part number TH934XTR. Now with our 2" adaptor already removed from our bike carrier, we'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank into our hitch, and line up our hitch pin holes. We'll then thread the anti-rattle bolt through the pin holes and tighten with a wrench, securing our bike carrier to our Hyundai Sonata. Now with the Hitching Post Pro secured to our vehicle, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how they fit together. There's about 11" of ground clearance. The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about 7".



Thule Apex 4 Swing Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Hyundai Sonata

Today on our 2013 Hyundai Sonata, we'll be test fitting the Thule Apex Swing 4-bike carrier, part number TH9027. Now with our 2" adaptor removed from our bike carrier, we'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes, insert the spring-loaded pin into the pin holes, and turn the black knob to engage the anti-rattle device. Now with our Thule Apex secured to our Hyundai Sonata, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how they fit together. We have about 10" of ground clearance. The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle here at the vehicle's rear bumper is about 2". Now to begin our test fit with the two inch adapter removed from our carrier we'll slide the carrier shank into the opening of the hitch, insert the spring loaded pin into the pin hole and turn the black knob on the upper part of the shank to engage our anti-rattle device securing the carrier to our Sonata.We'll now go over a few clearance measurements to see how the Thule Apex and our Hyundai Sonata fit together. There's about 11 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about two inches. With the cradle arms folded down we've added about twelve inches to the overall length of the vehicle.We'll now pull the gray lever at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out and we'll measure from the vehicle's trunk to the end of the carrier's cradle arms and we'll get a measurement of 41 inches. Now with this bike carrier and this vehicle you can access the trunk with the mast of the carrier in its upright position or you can pull the gray lever at the bottom of the carrier to tilt the mast down.To load the bike we'll make sure that the mast is in its upright position.



SportRack Escape 3 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Hyundai Sonata

Today on our 2013 Hyundai Sonata, we'll be test fitting the SportRack Escape 3-bike carrier, part number A30403. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes, thread our anti-rattle bolt through the pin holes, and tighten with a wrench. Now with the carrier secured to our Sonata, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how they fit together. There's about 9" of ground clearance. The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about 6". With the cradle arms folded down, we've added about 13" to the overall length of the vehicle.



Thule Doubletrack Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Hyundai Sonata

Today on this 2013 Hyundai Sonata Ill show you how to install and operate the Thule Doubletrack platform style two bike carrier. To install slide the shank into the opening of the hitch tube and align the threaded bolt hole. Thread the anti-rattle bolt through the hole and tighten with a wrench.
