Question:
I forgot my key on a long trip and had to get a locksmith break into my Thule cargo carrier. In the process he ruined the lock. How do I go about ordering a new lock? I have the old key now that I am back home.

If the lock core is removed then all you would need to do is install a new one. In order to receive a lock core that works with the key you have now then you would need to search on our site for THLOCKN### with the ### being the code on your key. For example, the Replacement Lock Cylinder part # THLOCKN070 works with a 070 Thule key. The Universal Change Key part # 853-1251 is also required when installing a new lock core.
If you don't care about reusing your existing key you can just purchase the Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders part # TH450200 which comes with two keyed alike lock cores, two keyed alike keys, and the change key.
