Is Hensley BD3 5th Wheel Hitch Compatible with a Sidewinder Pin Box

Question:
can i use the sidewinder pinbox with the hensley bd3 hitch? It states not to use with the blue ox Hensley trailsaver TS3 hitch. Need help.

There are indeed certain 5th wheel hitches that are not compatible with a Sidewinder or Revolution pin box. Some Hensley, B&W and other hitches are not recommended for such applications due to the fit of the wedges supplied with Sidewinders.
I checked with a technical staff member at Hensley about both hitches you referenced, the BD3 and the TS3. According to my contact both of these hitches can be modified by addition of a welded-on part to enable them to be used with a Sidewinder or Revolution pin box's supplied wedge.
In order to determine if your hitch requires this modification (it depends on its age) you'll need to contact Hensley and provide them with the serial number and purchase date of your BD3 hitch. They can then tell you if it will require the modification.

Adam I have a Hensely TS3 trying to use Reese sidewinder. i have pats to modify Hensley from manufacture, but can you tell me what wedge to use Reese part # 68204 ? or universial wedge from Reese ? i have talked with Will at etrailer to maybe order sidewinder can you help?
