The weight capacity for the Rackem Trailer Cargo Control, part # RA-28 is listed at 400 lbs.

This is the weight capacity for the complete rack, and not just one bar. When installing you need to make sure you have a solid place to secure the mounting tabs. The tab dimensions are 8-1/4 inches long x 1-1/2 inches high x 1/4 inch thick. I have attached a link to an installation video for this rack system you can check out.

If you need load stops for the ladder rack I recommend the Rack'em Load Stop, part # RA-28-S. This includes 2 stops that help stabilize the cargo placed on the # RA-28 ladder rack.
