In order to install the Thule Xsporter Ladder Rack # TH500XT in your 2004 Toyota Tundra you would not need this adapter # 753-3220.
If you were trying to install this rack in the bed of a 2007 Toyota Tacoma that had the rail system you referenced you would also need the part # THXK3.
