How to reset a lost 3 digit combination on a Model 94 DSPT Master trigger lock

If you do not remember the combination then there are 2 options. First, you could go through the 1,000 possible combinations manually until you find the one that works. Or you can attempt to drill out the lock. The only way to reset the combination is if you know the current combination.
Going through the possible combinations isn't all that hard, just time-consuming. Start with 000 then go to 001, 002, and so on. It may sound ridiculous but I have had to do this in order to save the lock.
Once you have determined the combination and if you still want to change it follow this procedure:
Set dials to combination
Move release lever to the up, open position
Pull the 2 parts of the trigger lock apart
Use a ball point pen or another pointy object and hold the reset button in located on the left side of the lock
At the same time, select a new combination
Release the reset button to complete the new combination
