In terms of mileage performance my contact at Edge advised that the best way to find which setting on your Edge EZ performance Tuner # EP30204 will provide the highest MPG performance when not towing is to try every level, in other words, trail and error. Since there are so many factors that affect mileage -- your engine's condition, your personal driving habits and style and terrain -- specific fuel economy results cannot be predicted.
We do recommend that you install an EGT (exhaust gas sensor) in your truck so you can monitor your exhaust temperature as a way to know if the power stage you are using is pushing your Cummins engine too hard. Exhaust gas temperatures above 1350 degrees F for long periods should be avoided.
For reference I have linked the installation instructions for part # EP30204 as well as a general article on performance chips.
