Question:
I have a 2008 Honda Pilot and wanted to know if I can completely bypass factory atf cooler built into radiator as they have a tendency to fail and flood tranny with coolant? If so is part #d13502 adequate? Thanks!

What you're wanting to do is theoretically possible, many folks with the Nissan Pathfinders that had the same radiator/transmission cooler problem were looking to do the same thing.
Derale Transmission Coolers, like the # D13502 you mentioned is meant as a supplementary cooler to augment, but not replace the factory unit. As we advised the Nissan owners, we would rather see you fix the problem correctly by using an aftermarket replacement radiator/transmission cooler, which are pretty affordable and can be found online. Once that's done, you can always add a supplemental cooler like the # D13502 you referred to.
I'd love to sell you a cooler, but I'd rather see you get the problem fixed the right way, and then buy something else from us later down the road.
