What you will want to install on your 2008 Chevy Equinox is the part # ETBC7. This comes with everything needed to install a fully functional 7-way on your vehicle. Since your trailer has an inverter you will at least need a 12 volt accessory circuit on the 7-way.
Most likely your trailer has brakes and you will need a brake controller. For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
The # ETBC7 comes with everything needed to complete the 12 volt power circuit needed for the inverter and the brake controller I recommended. I attached an install video plus installation instructions for you to check out as well.
