The issue with the factory hitch on a 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 is that the hitch is actually welded to a sort of u-shaped support piece of steel. So because of this design the factory hitch cannot be removed.
You will need a version that fits beneath the factory hitch such as # C15809. I have linked a video to the right showing how this hitch installs.
If you plan on doing some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # EBMK25318. It comes with a ball mount with 1-1/2 inch rise or 3 inch drop, a 2-5/16 inch ball, and a ball bag. If the ball mount kit does not have the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, use the link I have included to the right that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
You truck probably already has a factory installed 7-Way but on the off chance that it does not, you can use # 119178KIT to add a 4-Way flat wiring harness.
