Winch Capacity When on a 60 Percent Incline

Question:

If a winch is rated for a level pull of 2500 pounds, how much weight can it pull up a 60 percent incline? Thank you

To determine what the capacity of a winch would be on a 60 percent incline you need to take the capacity for the winch and multiply it by 1.70 as long as the load is a rolling load.

So a 2,500 lb capacity winch would have a capacity of 4,250 lbs on a 60 percent incline.
