I have a 2001dodge 5.9 will edge ezd1000b fit my truck.

I spoke with my contact over at Edge and the old EZD1000B will only fit 2002 model year Dodge Rams and not your 2001. If the unit is used then even if it did fit you would have to re-register the device with Edge which does cost a fee so just so you are aware of that.
For a 2001 with the 5.9 liter I6 diesel motor you can use # EZD1000A.
