Question:
i understand that \you remove the skid plate and that will not be reinstalled when installing 31313 - correct? - Can you install driving lamps on the 31313 - is there enough room projecting from the front once installed to accommodate 2- 6inch lamps? thanks

The skid shield may need to be removed to install Curt front mount trailer hitch # 31313. It might also be possible to trim it. The instructions do not mention the skid plate at all, see link to the right.
You should not drill into or weld to the hitch so if the lights can attach another way then it is possible to secure them to the hitch. Take a look at the picture of the hitch installed that I have included to get an idea of how much space there is after installation.
