Question:
Hi - a few years ago I bought and installed a Curt hitch and 4 flat connector to my 2007 MDX. Now I am looking to tow a tend trailer with brakes and have been told I need a a 7pin connector as well as a brake controller. What are my options? I heard I might be able to use some products designed for the Ridgeline.

The 2007 Acura MDX is actually similar to the Honda Pilot and not so much the Ridgeline. But manufacturers have not confirmed that any parts for the Pilot will work on the MDX. To install a brake controller you will need to hardwire one in.
To do this you will need installation kit # ETBC7 and a brake controller. I have included a couple of links to the right that show and explain the ETBC7 installation.
For a brake controller I recommend the P2, # 90885. It is one of our most popular controllers because it is easy to set up and use and it is reliable.
