Bolt with Swagman Cable Lock Will Not Thread Into the Shank of XTC Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Rack

I just received my XCT2 bike rack and the 64031 cable/lock. The bolt that came with the rack easily threads into and out of the foot. I tried to thread the lock into the foot and after 4 turns it stops. I only hand tightened. Threading doesnt seem correct. I dont want to strip the threads in the foot. I tried from both sides with the same results. The original bolt easily threads by hand.

Take a look at the key that came with the cable lock. If it is a barrel key then you received # S64030 by mistake and it would not fit the XTC bike rack. If it is a flat key then you may have just gotten a bad one. Either way you will need a replacement. I will have someone from customer service give you a call to see about getting you a replacement.
