Question:
I mounted a 13575 receiver this weekend, and am looking for a carrier to use for travel. The receiver is fairly low to the ground, so I like that the 18110 has an angled shank. I just want to know if it will have enough clearance to not contact the back bumper on our 2008 CX-9. Thanks!

When we have installed Curt trailer hitch # 13575 on other Mazda CX-9s we found that from the center of the hitch pin hole back to clear the rear bumper measures 4-3/4 inches. On Curt cargo carrier # C18110 it measures 6-3/4 inches from the center of the pin hole to the nearest part of the carrier so there should be no interference issues. Even with the rise in the shank it should not be a problem.
You will want to measure the clearance on your CX-9 just to be safe. I have linked a help article to the right that shows how to take this measurement.
