Question:

I need the wireing harness for my little two wheel trailer . The trailer is already wired. It has a Little flat plug with 5 wires, white ground, green,brown,grey.red. I dont know where they go but they worked with my son inlaws truck. I dont w3ant to just go in there and start spliceing .I want a hookup for my 2005 Ford Freestyle. I just bought a hitch from you but didnt order the wire. Ps the hitch went on pretty good . It took us about 2 hrs. A lot of rust

The correct wiring harness you would need for your 2005 Ford Freestyle would be the Tow Ready Harness part # 118395. This will give you a flat 4-way that should match up to your trailer's 5-way.

Typically the 5th wire on a 5-way is run to the reverse lights of the tow vehicle for a reverse lockout or reverse lights. Either way if you need that fifth circuit you would also need to install the part # 20036. This will plug into the 4-way of your vehicle and the fifth wire will tap into your reverse lights on your trailer. Check out the install video I attached.
