Hey Mick!

Thanks for reaching back out to me!

I'm glad you mentioned the exhaust setup on your 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt 5.0, because that actually makes a big difference when choosing a trailer hitch!

Normally, I'd recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11405 for a 2019 Mustang. However, Curt specifically excludes models with quad exhaust tips, like your Bullitt, because of potential clearance issues. Unfortunately, we don't currently have a confirmed custom-fit hitch option for your particular exhaust configuration, and I wouldn't want to recommend something that might not fit properly.

There may be an option to have a local fabrication shop build a custom hitch for your Mustang, but they'd need to inspect the exhaust and available mounting points to determine whether that's feasible.

What are you planning to haul with your Mustang, Mick? Are you looking to tow a small trailer, carry a bike rack, or use a cargo carrier? Knowing what you're trying to accomplish will help me narrow down the best options for you!

@Mick Gotcha, that makes sense! I wish I had a hitch for you, but custom fabrication is the only way to go for right now. Just make sure to be extra careful with the weight specifications in your owner's manual. What kind of motorcycle are you towing and where are you planning on taking it?

I installed this hitch on my 2020 mustang gt 5.0 with the active exhaust (quad tip exhaust WITH the valve selection modes)…if you have the same setup… Curt hitch should fit as well.. it’s well documented online

@Chris Thanks for confirming the fit! Curt still shows it as not confirmed to fit, so that's what I based my answer on. Were there any modifications that you had to make to make it fit? I'd love to see photos of the install if you get a chance!

@JerryB The active exhaust has some electrical connectors on the top that may or may not be close to the hitch once installed, so I bent the bracket for those connectors out of the way a bit. Separately, I wasn’t impressed with the curt hitch fit on the car with regards to the framerails. It had to be jacked up into place (it seemed to be a couple mm too narrow) and the fish plate bolt hole locations were off a few mm as well, making it difficult to (but possible) to get it bolted up.

@Christopher That's interesting, thanks for sharing. I wonder if the hitch was flexed at all during shipment. That's not uncommon and can cause the fitment to be slightly altered, but doesn't affect the quality of the steel or welds. It, of course, could've also been the design, but I've linked an article below for future reference in case that is what the issue was.

I have a 2015 Mustang. But the hitch is entirely inside of the exhaust system and does not interfere with the mufflers or tips in any way. I cannot see how quad tips would make a difference. But just google "curt trailer hitches 2019 mustang" and choose images as the result. You'll see many pics of both dual and quad tip mustangs with the hitch installed and can easily see there is no interference.

@Jonathan Thanks for sharing! I got another comment saying similar, so I'm wondering if it was never tested on a quad-tip exhaust setup. Curt still doesn't have it confirmed years later, but that doesn't always mean it won't fit, just that it isn't confirmed.

Mick, I have a 2020 ecoboost hpp with The stock quad exhausts and active valves. It fit as well as it could and would say it’ll fit your model.

@KyleA Thanks for sharing! I'm hearing from the comments that it should fit with minimal modification, which makes me think that it just may not have been tested by Curt on the quad-tip models.
