Replacing RV Refrigerator With Furrion 10.7 Cu Ft French Door Refrigerator

Published 10/21/2026

Question:

I'm replacing the absorption refrigerator in my travel trailer and looking at the Furrion 10.7 cubic foot French door model. How much cabinet space will I need to install it? I'm trying to figure out whether it will fit my existing opening or if I'll need to make modifications.

Hey Mark! The Furrion 10.7 Cu. Ft. RV Refrigerator # FR76NF will be a nice upgrade from your old absorption refrigerator. The refrigerator body measures 23-5/8" wide, 59-7/8" tall to the top of the hinge, and 22-1/2" deep without the doors. You'll also need at least 1" of ventilation clearance on the sides, top, and rear.

I've included the installation diagram below so you can compare the measurements to your existing cabinet. It also shows the clearance needed for the refrigerator doors and freezer drawer to open without hitting surrounding cabinets. Since it runs on 12V power you won't need a propane connection. However, you'll need to verify you have the appropriate 12V wiring available for the installation.

What refrigerator model are you replacing?

One more question, we do quite a bit of camping without hookups. Can this Furrion run off our lithium batteries, or will we need shore power to keep it running?

@Mark yes, the Furrion # FR76NF runs directly on 12V DC power, so you can operate it from your lithium battery bank without shore power or an inverter. How long it will run depends on your battery capacity and other electrical loads. If you let me know how many amp-hours of lithium batteries you have, I can help you figure out what to expect when camping off-grid.
