Hey Milan, thanks for reaching out. If the # E96MV isn't getting the job done with your 40-foot antenna, I definitely understand wanting to move up to something with more lifting power. The # C55ZJ is worth looking at, but with an antenna that tall, there's more to consider than just the weight of the mast. When you're raising it from a horizontal position, all that length creates a lot of leverage, putting considerably more strain on the lifting mechanism.

The Curt Hand-Crank Winch # C55ZJ is definitely a stronger option than your existing # E96MV. It has a 2,500 lb capacity compared to 1,500 lbs, plus a 15.8:1 gear ratio that gives you considerably more mechanical advantage when cranking. It also has a built-in handbrake to hold the load in place.

For your 40-foot antenna, I like the Curt better, but I still want to verify the actual lifting load before saying it's the right one.

How much does your antenna and mast weigh, and are you raising the entire assembly from a horizontal position?

weight of the tower and attached antennas is about 220 lbs. raising it from about 30 degrees incline. using a steel cable with 5000 lbs breaking strength. two legs of the tower are hinged. cable is attached close to the top. winch is mounted, 3 bolts, on a 5 foot 4x4 post, about midpoint. @MilanS Ok gotcha. The Curt # C55ZJ winch has more than enough weight capacity for that. That is a solid choice.
