Question:
Will this converter be a good replacement for the converter inside of the Progressive Dynamics 4500 Series PD4590K18LS8? The converter portion went out and I am also upgrading to a 300AH lithium battery.

It sure will Jay. The deck mounted WFCO Auto-Detect RV Converter Charger item # WF56FR will indeed be a good replacement for the one inside of your Progressive Dynamics 4500 Series power center. It is compatible with lead acid and lithium batteries so it will work great with your current setup and when you upgrade to a 300AH lithium battery.
The WFCO Auto-Detect RV Converter Charger item # WF56FR has an auto detect feature that switches between 3-stage lead-acid and 2-stage lithium-ion battery charging profiles. It provides a 100 amp DC output to keep your battery bank charged.
What do you plan on powering with your upgraded 300 amp hour battery? Feel free to answer this and throw in any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.

Hi, Jerred. Thank you for getting back so quickly. I’ll be powering. Keystone 427 toy hauler. Have a full family plus the toys so the toy hauler gets used to its fullest. After the converter went out it was time to upgrade to a better converter unit and lithium to get more out of our system. The other question I had was would it be better to try and fit this new converter where the old one was or would it be better to mount it in a more accessible location like the basement compartment? I’ll either have to cut the plug off or add an outlet that the converter can be plugged into. Y’all have been great. Thank you!
