How Does Trailer Valet Stabilizer Jack Attach to Closed Channel Trailer Frame

Updated 10/19/2026 | Published 10/14/2026

Question:

How would you mount this assembly to a closed channel frame? My travel trailer is not an I-beam style frame. I have a 2026 Apex 300BHS.

Hey Steve, if it was me I would weld the Trailer Valet Drill-Powered Stabilizer Jack # TV68FR to your boxed frame channel because it would be the securest way to attach it and also would be the easiest. That said, not everyone is comfortable welding or wants to pay someone to do that. Is there an open end to the frame channel that you could fish hardware through? If so, you could drill holes and then use fish wire/bolt leaders to pull the hardware through the open end of the frame and through the mounting holes of the frame and this jack.

I would suggest drilling and tapping threads into the closed channel frame. Which would enable you to bolt it to the frame. The jack is adjustable for width.

@Arnold that's also a really good idea!

@JamesonC I also drilled and tapped and add 1/4 steel plate so it is easy removed and secured , what I’ve encountered is be careful if you leave yours in place because of height restrictions, going down a driveway or entering I have found you don’t want to travel with it in place my trailer is lower than most but it’s really nice to have stability we work out of ours the hand crank works very well but the real kicker is the adapter for your drill or impact driver
