Options For A 1000 Watt Progressive Dynamics Inverter

Updated 10/06/2026 | Published 10/04/2026

Question:

I need a 1000w inverter for a 3 horse trailer with a small weekender that could run interior lights and a small water pump for the toilet and sink. What inverter dynamic progressive would you suggest?

Hi Cal!

If you are looking for a Progressive Dynamics 1000w inverter, we have two options that I have listed below:

Progressive Dynamics 1000 Watt Inverter w/ Transfer Switch # PD94FR
Progressive Dynamics 1000 Watt Pure Sine Wave Inverter # PD34FR

Both of these have an output power of 1,000 Watts continuous (2,000 Watts peak surge), are Pure Sine Wave (which is safe for sensitive electronics), include an integrated 20-amp automatic transfer switch, and they feature internal Wago quick-connectors on the AC side.

The only difference between then (other than the price) is the # PD34FR includes a pre-attached 15-amp AC input utility cord (plug). This allows you to plug the inverter directly into a standard house-style outlet to supply its internal transfer switch. On the other hand, the # PD94FR is strictly a hardwired model with no integrated power cord. You must run external AC wiring directly into the unit to connect it to your power system.

So if you have that house-style outlet for this to plug into, go with the # PD34FR. If you don't go with the # PD94FR. It's a little more work to get installed, but it will save you some money as well. Which is always a good thing in my book. ^___^

Where are you typically camping with your horses?

I have no problems and easy to operate. Takes up less space than the original one.

I can’t remember which of these I have in my 3 horse weekender but it has been great! I do leave my trailer connected at all times when I’m not using it and it’s always ready to go. Very simple to use as well
