Which Wire is the Power and Ground for the Ventline RV Bathroom Fan Motor # BCD0314-00?
Published 10/02/2026 >
Question:
Hello I just purchased placement 110-Volt AC Fan Motor for Ventline RV Bathroom Fan w/100 CFM Capacity BCD0314-00. I do not have a connector so will have to cut the wires. My question is being as tho both wires are black, which side should i connect to the existing white wire in the bathroom vent? Also is there a ground wire with this product. Thanks

Hi Robert,
Both wire are black because they are non-polarized wires, meaning that they don't have a dedicated positive or negative polarity. So, either wire can be connected to the fan's power or be the ground wire. You'll want to match the power wire of the current motor with the same post on the Ventline Replacement RV Bathroom Motor part # BCD0314-00 so it turns in the correct direction. If the fan is spinning the wrong direction after wiring it, just reverse the wire connections and it'll spin the proper direction.
Are you using this motor for a Ventline fan or a different brand?
