Can Ark DC-DC Battery Charger Be Added To Existing RV Electrical System
Updated 09/30/2026 | Published 09/29/2026 >
Question:
Before I order, do I have to replace the rest of my RV electrical system to use this? I already have an inverter, lithium batteries, and some other components I'm happy with. I'm mainly looking for better alternator and solar charging plus battery monitoring.

Hey Mike! No, you don't have to replace the rest of your electrical system to use the Ark DC-DC Battery Charger # ARK46FR. It's designed to work as a centralized power management system with mixed-brand 12V components, so you can keep your existing inverter and other equipment.
It gives you 50 amp DC-to-DC charging, MPPT solar charging, a 500 amp smart shunt, and 500 amp busbar distribution all in one unit. This makes it a nice option when you're upgrading an existing system instead of starting from scratch.
What inverter and batteries are you currently using?
