Question:
Good afternoon. I have a tandem axle trailer with 7,000 lbs axles and I need to upgrade the braking system to disc brakes. Do you have an all in 1 kit you can recommend that comes with everything I need? The trailer's really old and I just want to replace everything.

Welcome back Johnny! To completely replace your trailer's brakes, I recommend the Hydrastar Disc Brake Conversion Kit for Tandem 7K Axles item # HYD866FR. This kit includes a electric over hydraulic brake actuator, hub and rotor assemblies, brake lines, 7-Way connector and junction box, new bearings, breakaway kit and hardware.
The Hydrastar Disc Brake Conversion Kit item # HYD866FR is designed to fit 7,000 lbs axles. The new rotors have a 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern with 1/2" wheel studs. This kit includes new bearings and seals for all four rotors as well.
We also have the Hydrastar Disc Brake Kit w/ Actuator item # HSE7K-T1. This also is designed for 7,000 lbs axles but does not include a 7-way connector or a breakaway kit.
What kind of trailer do you have and what do you use it for? Feel free to answer this and throw in any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.
