Question:
I purchased a 5th wheel hitch from you In 2020. Works perfect thanks. I find myself needing to pull a gooseneck livestock trailer. Is there an adapter to help me do this?

Welcome back Allan! Since the Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit pn 30061 you purchased a few years back doesn't have a gooseneck connection, you'll need the Replacement Base for Gen-Y Advantage Combo Hitches item # GY99XD. This base is designed to attach directly to the four recessed pucks in your 2006 Silverado. This base has a built in 2-5/16" hitch ball and a 25,000 lbs towing capacity, along with safety chain connections.
The Replacement Base for Gen-Y Advantage Combo Hitches item # GY99XD is designed to fit the Ford factory puck system, which is made by Reese. The aftermarket kit pn 30061 you installed back in 2020 has the same 30" across by 13" vertical puck spacing. It was the first aftermarket puck system that came out but no matter what vehicle it was put in you had the Ford puck pattern.
What kind of livestock are you hauling? Feel free to answer this and throw in any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.
