Trailer Hitch Options For A 2020 Nissan Versa

Question:

Hi I have a Nissan Versa 2020 model and see that no one seems to carry a hitch for this car. I have found hitches for previous years but not the 2020. I even found some that stopped being sold. Do you know why hitches arent made for this car?

Hi Geoffrey!

While I can't say for sure, it looks like it has something to do with the generation change that happened for the 3rd generation Versa, which your 2020 is. It could also be due to low sales of the vehicle, but that's a guess on my part.

That said, we have had someone with a 2020 Versa install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # C11256 successfully. I included an image of their review, but since Curt removed this model year from their fitment, I still can't guarantee the fit. There is a decent chance it will, just not a 100% chance.

If you don't want to take the chance, which I would definitely understand, you are going to have to look for the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" - 24887. Unfortunately, Draw-Tite's parent company (First Brands) has had some... "issues" as of late and their parts are basically impossible to get ahold of. Look them up online and you will see what I mean. I did a quick search for the hitch and I didn't see any in stock, but I will admit to not looking super hard and you may have better luck.

What are you wanting to use a hitch for? I may have another option for accomplishing what you are wanting to do.
