How To Change A Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Over To A Demco Air Force One

Updated 09/15/2026 | Published 09/09/2026

Question:

I will be taking out my Demco progressive Braking Unit and installing a conversion kit Airforce one in its place. What parts would someone need to purchase wires, etc... if they then wanted to use the old progressive system and install it on a different vehicle to tow behind an RV with hydrolic brakes? Thanks

Hi Gary!

To convert a pre-existing Stay-IN-Play Duo over to an Air Force One system, you will need the Towed Car Conversion Kit - Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo to Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System # SM99233. This includes everything you need, but you will be reusing some of the components from the Stay-IN-Play Duo, like the brake cylinder.

Due to that, you will need the Replacement Air Cylinder for Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Flat Tow Brake System # DM6215 for the vehicle you will be moved the Stay-IN-Play Duo to. you will also want to grab the Reinstall Kit for Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Flat Tow Brake System # SM6270 as it will have the rest of the wiring and little parts needed to accomplish the install.

What vehicles are you wanting to change/add the braking systems in?
