Hi, I just purchased a new Chevy Colorado. I am looking to get a tonneau cover for it. I saw that the BAKFlip MX4 Hard Tonneau Cover is priced in my range. Saw it was “rack compatible”. Does that mean it comes with t slots or something else? If it means something else, what are the racks that would be compatible? Thanks for you assistance! Mike

Hey Mike, congratulations on the new truck! The compatibility notes on the BAKFlip MX4 # BAK78AV come from the way it mounts. This mounts inside the bed rails, so it is compatible with a ladder rack that mounts on top of the bed rails like the Adarac Pro Series # A86ZA or Adarac Aluminum Series # A66ZA.

We also have the BAKFlip MX4 # BAK83AV which comes with the T-slot rails but the cost is a bit higher. If you have the rails you can mount the Yakima OutPost HD # Y01152-5855 or Yakima OverHaul HD # Y01151-5855 on the rails which will allow you to position the rack anywhere you need it. You can also add a standard roof rack if you want a low profile option at a lower price point.
