Hello Jeff,
Welcome to etrailer, I'm glad you found us!
You have not missed it. I went through our fenders looking specifically for that 12" width, and that is where we are coming up short too.
The closest option I have in a diamond plate fender is the Single Axle Trailer Fender # CE18041ATB. It measures 36" long x 19-1/4" tall, so it falls right into the range you are looking for there, but it is only 10" wide. I attached an image that a neighbor submitted with his review, you can see he painted his black.
Since the 12" width is the important measurement for your build, we do have a couple of wider steel options. The Smooth Steel Fender # HP66VR and the Ribbed Steel Fender # HP46FR both measure 36" long x 13" wide x 20" tall and are made for 15" to 16" wheels. Neither one is black or diamond plate, but they will give you the extra width you are looking for and can be painted or coated to match your trailer.
How big is the trailer you are building? How far along are you?
