Does The Curt Hitch C33MJ Fit A 2026 Mazda CX-50 Hybrid?

Updated 09/04/2026 | Published 09/01/2026

Question:

Google is telling me the Curt C33MJ hitch will fit my 2026 Mazda CX-50 hybrid car. Since you dont have that model in your vehicle or I wanted to confirm that this hitch will in fact fit my car? Thanks!

Hi Andrew!

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C33MJ will indeed fit your Hybrid 2026 Mazda CX-50. It will actually fit all versions for that model year, so you are good to go! We actually did an install on a 2026 CX-50 Hybrid and I included that for you to check out. We have it rated 5 out of 10 for the install difficulty, so it's definitely something that can be installed at home.

What are you going to be using the hitch for once it's installed?

This trailer hitch will definitely fit the Mazda CX-50 Hybrid. This hitch was the easiest hitch I ever installed. It took me about 15 minutes. The hardest part is cutting through some plastic, which literally took seconds with a Dremel tool.

Definitely it will fit the ce 50 hybrid. That’s my car. Warning: do NOT use UHaul services. Install it yourself if you can. They messed up my installation and ended up having to cut the bolts and drill new holes in my frame. A brand new car! It was so violent that they messed up the rear wheel alignment. I still feel vibrations. I’m in the process of suing them. But the Curt hitch is great, and it should be very easy to install.

I put it on my wife’s car. 2026 CX50 Hybrid. I needed a couple of extra hands to hold it in place, other than that it fit perfectly. To hook up the trailer wiring you’ll find you don’t need to go all the way to the front of the car since the battery on the hybrid is close in the back. The kit I bought worked well. There are a few videos out there to help you get through that.
