Availability of Trailer Wiring for 2023 Hyundai Palisade

Question:

Hello, I have a 2023 Palisade that I need trailer wiring for. I see your kit for C43V 4-pole kit but have you built a kit yet to connect to the white plug underneath the rear storage compartment like Hyundai has? I believe its part S8F67 AC800. That kit would be much easier to install than removing the taillights and safer than running a wire up to the battery. Please let me know if you have a kit like this. Thank you, Craig

Hey Craig! I think the 2023 model was around the time there was a recall over electrical fire concerns with the factory tow package wiring and they quit making those harnesses because of it.

The only aftermarket option available is the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C43FV you referenced that plugs into the taillight connectors. It would certainly be more convenient if there was one, but this installation isn't overly difficult, and there is nothing unsafe about running a hot lead up to the battery for the converter.

Hey Craig, recently installed the wiring harness on my '25 Palisade. Popping the tailights out and plugging in the connections was easy peasy. Biggest pia is just running power up to the battery. Not hard, just not the funnest job. I took skirting loose and ran wire above it so it's better protected.

@Brian thanks for sharing your experience! Even on a lift, running that power wire isn't the most fun, but thankfully it's a one-time job. Tucking it above the skirting and securing it with zip ties is a great approach since movement is the enemy of that wire. The more secure and protected it is, the better.
